Breaddy-Stack
Can’t seem to find a reasonably priced F-8E/J anywhere. Was considering picking up the French version if it has everything I need still. I’m not too familiar with the differences of each version but I know they exist. I guess the comparison of what I’m trying to avoid is like how the Hasegawa Harrier II plus omits the day-attack, night-attack pieces. Any help is appreciated! Thanks! RichB63
Everything is there to make a USN F-8J sans weapons, as those included are French type.

The E and other earlier versions need different parts though?
metroman
The French Special boxing does not include the sprue with the wing ordnance pylons, nor the Zunis or the dual AIM-9 mounts. You do get the single AIM-9 mounts. Also the tail includes the larger ECM shape.

The French F-8E (FN) was a F-8E modified with double droop leading edge flaps and a larger horizontal stab. These changes appeared on the US F-8J version, which is why Hasegawa has the -J plastic in the box instead of -E. The -E kit had different sprues for the LE flaps and tail planes.
