Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Question, thinking back to my Hase 72nd F-4G Wild Weasel build. The kit has two options for centerline tanks; how does one know which to use? I'm assuming one is for earlier in its service (i.e. 70's through early 80's maybe?) but what I really want to know is which I should have used for a Desert Storm build? Stephen
You should use the F-15 style one.
Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
I've heard that, yes...except, never having taken an interest in the F-15, I don't know which is which....
Ben Brown
This is the one you need (photo from Clifford Bossie’s excellent site) Ben Edited July 9, 2021 by Ben Brown
wxltcol
It's the one with the fin and attachment point at the back. I'm pretty sure the attachment point helps swing the tank nose down before the tank releases and thus avoids airframe and tank contact. I think... Just checked on Hobby Search and it's P19 and P20 on the Egyptian 1 scheme. The earlier tank just has a straight and level pylon on the tank (I think it's a Royal tank). Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Exactly what I needed, thank you! ...now I've gotta replace it on my existing build, which is on display in the ARC gallery with the wrong tank...
