ESzczesniak
I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel on my Kinetic 1/48 F-16I Sufa "Bat Squadron" which leaves me starting to think about future projects. I also want to build the F-15I Ra'am "Eagle Squadron" which is straightforward from the GWH kit. I am also wanting to build 1/48 F-16C Barak with the Scorpion Tail. I think this is 105 squadron, although I'm also seeing F-16D's labeled this way. This seems less straight forward. I know there has been an Isracast and DrPepparResin conversion sets for the Tamiya kit, but these don't appear easily available anymore. And I am not finding any source of decals yet. So, is there any straightforward sets out there to build a Tamiya F-16 in to a Barak with the Scorpion Tail?
Seaknight
Wolfpack Design made also a Barak conversion for the Tamiya F-16. Unfortunately, this set is also OOP and difficult to find. From time to time, there are some offers by eBay...... but rare

Helmsman
My thought was to use Kinetic kit as a parts and decals source. Also found this: https://www.ultracast.ca/AeroMaster-48-487-F-16-Israeli-Barak-p/am48487.htm

You get my agreement on that. Kinetic F-16s I avoid like the Plague!

Any suggestions which Tamiya kit to get? I know the C/N has everything, but is a bit more expensive. So would the -CJ or Block 25/32 be reasonable? I'm guessing the Kinetic instructions will give me guidance, but any highlights about what needs to be added/changed for an IAF bird? Just trying to mentally prepare. I believe all of the IAF F-16Cs are Block 30 or 40 and have the GE exhaust. Their Block 30s have the small NSI intake, IIRC. The Block 40s have the big mouth MCID, but lack the WAR HUD. Here’s a review I did of the 1/32 Isracast conversion for the 1/32 Tamiya CJ kit. Although the scale is different, the changes should be similar. http://acc.kitreview.com/isracast32001reviewdw_1.htm Edited July 28, 2021 by Dave Williams

Scorpion squadron had been operating Block 40 single seaters until 2004 (switched to two seaters afterwards). So you need big mouth intake which is available in both C/N and CJ kits. The rest as Dave said. Edited July 28, 2021 by Helmsman
