bashace
Would like to buy or trade for an unstarted Academy 1/48 F-111, boxing not important. Let me know what you got or trade dersires. - Ron Edited July 23, 2021 by bashace Title tweak
Rod D
If decals are not important to you, any of the short-wing Academy F-111 (A, E or F) kits will do (except the EF-111). They're all the same kit, with parts to make both intakes. (Academy decals are lousy, BTW. Go with Caracal or older Microscale if possible.) Rod
bashace
I'll be using different decals, wings, wheels, intakes, afterburners, and cockpit than what the kit comes with. -Ron Edited July 22, 2021 by bashace Grammer
Rod D
Yes, then really any of those variants will do. Sounds like a good project.
bashace
Have a bunch of F-111 resin that needs to be put to use. Sold the kit it was for some years ago, but not the AM stuff.
Rod D
It occurs to me that if you are replacing the wings, then any Academy F-111 variant will do, except the EF. The FB-111A and F-111C kits are the same as the A, E and F, except with longer wings. The two gray-box F-111Cs on the left side are special editions with upgraded parts and additional parts. bashace
I guess you're right, any except the EF-111 will work. Not sure about the F-111E though, heard that kit had issues.
