Pink Floyd " The Wall" show in 1980 / 08 / 08 at 8 PM

Anyone remember this?????????????????

 

It has been some years now, exactly 41 this evening that on 8th August at 8 PM in Earls Court I went to see Pink Floyd with the „The Wall” show in 1980. 

 

WOW it was good!!!! The original Floyd line-up with one of the best shows ever!

 

 

It was an interesting play with numbers: at 8PM on 8th of the 8th month in 80.

 

Purely by accident today I found a tape of the actual show I attended. Unfortunately it was only made on a video tape which does not give you back the perfect sound system and light show but still it is great to see it again after 41 years!  : )   : )

Also by accident I still have the concert booklet and the ticket. Is there a refund possibility ??????  : )  : )   : )   : )

This is STILL one of my favourite albums, I STILL listen to it 41 years later!

Pink Floyd and Peter Gabriel's Genesis were, and ARE, my faves ... this is MUSIC!

 

And I agree with A-10 LOADER, cool memory and thanx for taking me back there with ya!

Not the original line up - Dave Gilmour replaced Syd Barrett in 1967 after Barrett had mental problems.

Yeah, you are right in historic way.

But for me lets say Mk2 line up was THE Pink Floyd.

If one looks at years since then, and more recent times under Pink Floyd name there were so many line ups, in my view most questionable. This is why I refered to the  The Wall gig 1980 08 08 line up as original. (even if they had duplicate extras on stage with them)
