Niels
Hi Anyone know if this is a new kit or rebox of Academy, Italeri or Hasegawa? F-22A Raptor (Plastic model) - HobbySearch Military Model Store (1999.co.jp)
Dave Williams
I was wondering that myself, but the parts count of 380 parts seems pretty high for any of the other kits, and seems high in general for a 1/48 Raptor.
Niels
Turns out there is a similar post over at Britmodeller, and from that it appears to be new moulds, but not confirmed? One comment suggest it might be Hasegawa as the part counts are in the same region, while Academy is ~180ish. Will be interesting to follow for sure
Solo
Did Trumpeter or Hobby Boss repacked any model in their history? It looks like brand new tool.
Niels
They didn't release the F-22, so not Trumpeter or Hobby Boss
ijozic
I Love Kit is another Trumpeter brand like HB so 11 minutes ago, Niels said: They didn't release the F-22, so not Trumpeter or Hobby Boss I Love Kit is another Trumpeter related brand like HB, etc.
Janissary
Interesting. The closest existing kit would be Hasegawa baed on part count. But I am unaware of Hasegawa letting their kits reboxed under a different brand except for ProModeler F-4 and A-4. Has there been many others? Also, don't want to get all geo-political, but not entirely sure if Hasegawa would do this with a Chinese company. I'm leaning toward this being a new tool.

GreyGhost
Just going by the box art, it seems to be influenced by the Hasegawa kit with heavy emphasis on the raised serrated edges ... -Gregg
ElectroSoldier
Hasegawa kits have been reboxed by many. Hobby2000, Eduard to name but two.
