The camo painting is finished in 95% I suppose. I need to finish to paint all control surfaces and make some small camouflage adjustments.
I am very proud I have made all that markings, formation light ect. using masks - there are no decals on that model yet.

Thanks.
So I have started to think how to "paint" walkaway areas. It should be rough and crunchy, but without exaggeration.
My idea is that: very, really very thick Surfacer 500 airbrushed at low pressure. Then painting.
I think it is really good result.

The texture is convincing for the scale.

Thanks guys!
Now the walkaway areas are ready. I need to make some adjustments on the left side, make it flat and dirty, but now it is almost ready.78.thumb.JPG.e82d8ae41b46cf91f2a346c3941ffd48.JPG79.thumb.JPG.55e8e1e730ebe10cd1c00d63aa05c234.JPG80.thumb.JPG.b3c8611fce92a2d7017bb68f9c2b6078.JPG81.thumb.JPG.1e48cd56b3994ac3e37c8cb9a2cdad41.JPG82.thumb.JPG.833ce83d2dc7faf5714df498d3e10dc2.JPG

Thanks Janissar, your F/A-18C is still inspiration for my build.

So, I have finished all camouflage painting. Applied all decals and painted also main wheel bays. Now it is time for wash and weathering.
