Yes, it's realy a little detail : when the HGU-55 was first delivered, most of them had the old cast bayonet receiver. It is the device where the mask is attached to the helmet, on each helmet side. you see it under the visor strap : However, the lightweight bayonet receiver slowly replaced the cast receiver, so with the years, it tended to replace the old style of receivers, except on the blue angels helmets. So even if it's a tiny detail, we made both versions that you see here on a US Navy HGU-55 (rigtht)and USAF HGU-55(left) In the early 2000s, the navy HGU-55 was then replaced by the HGU-68.
