KursadA
CD48197 will be a 1/48 sheet with seven QF-4E marking options, mostly for the heritage schemes worn in the last few years of QF-4E operations. It is designed to fit the Zoukei-Mura kit (obviously with the Hypersonic conversion until ZM releases a late E), but it will work with earlier kits. FInished and sent to print, will be available in February. Edited November 19, 2021 by KursadA

I saw them there too, although it was because they were being retired. It was a mixed bag, both were not glossy.

Spruemeister
Sioux Falls open house and airshow, July 2012. The Heritage jet was very glossy, but did not fly for that portion of the show. P-38 and F-22. Always somebody in my frame when I shoot static shots... Rick L. arnobiz
Would the SWS Early F-4E kit be suitable as a basis for conversion or are QF-4Es based on later airframes? Just asking ☺️ Arnaud Edited January 14, 2022 by arnobiz

Just asking ☺️ Arnaud Arnaud, They were definitely all later airframes with the slats. The only hard wing drones were the RF-4C's converted towards the end of the program. Mike J. Idacavage
Outstanding news!!!! It looks like we will be able to build at least two (74-0643 and 74-1638) of the last four QF-4 Phantoms that flew on the USAF last official flight! I can't wait for this release and especially the 1/72 version. Yahoo!!!! Have fun modeling Mike

Also shot at Tyndall in 2015, this RF-4C and F-4E (above) were the last two QF-4s launched (and shot down) from Tyndall before they switched to QF-16s. Youngtiger1
Was there any changes to the QF-16 cockpit? TIA
habu2
I’m sure there are but we weren’t able to shoot the cockpit. I do have pics of the external mods.
