Siba
Hello everyone! I went a little for a while, and now coming bace with overview of An-2 by Easter Express Inside there are four sprues, three are made of ordinary gray plastic and one is a clear one. The kit contains only 55 parts. The fuselage consists of two parts. Almost all large parts (if I may say so, because the length of the assembled model is only 8.6 centimeters) have incomprehensible scratches. Hopefully they'll all go away during the priming process. The keel is provided as a separate part. The engine consists of three parts. To increase the detalisation, I will use wires to the cylinder block. It is possible to make an airplane on skis. It is very pleasant that there is an imitation of the cockpit. The cockpit glazing ... well ... it's there. Whoever says what anything about the transparency of the cockpit in the Zvezda kit- in comparison with this it is crystal clear. I am not sure about possibility of polishing it, guess won't try it. There is photo-etching parts. Of course, not like in kits from microdesign, where there are 40 (+/-) parts, but anyway it's very nice! Decal from a "hippopotamus". Looks awesome! Never worked with this manufacturer, but I love what is offered in the kit. Yeap, it isn't a Zvezda kit, but anyway looks as a lovely one!
K5054NZ
The An-2 is just cool, and I'm glad to see this kit being built as it's been on my radar for a while. Thanks the the in-box review!
Siba
Holidays are over and building is coming for it too. What is about kit and assembling? I knew that Eastern Express has not the best airplanes kits [There a lot of problems during assembling, for example large holes between parts of main body and fuselage and so on]. One people say- this kit is aweful too, others- that is one the best EE models. I want to be objective, therefore I didn't mention nothing about assembling in first post here and on russian forum, so let's start real review. It's a really nice kit, almost all parts nice connects with each others. Main problem is cockpit, which includes 3 parts, but you can easy polish it and remove all imperfections. I wouldn't recomend this kit only for begginers, better to start with, for example, Tu-134/154 Zvezda kits. But if you have build ~8 models, this one won't be difficult for you to assemble. Now I deal with decals, bracing and tiny details. I hope I will finish this kit soon.
