We are in the 3rd day of our Chinese luna new year holidays but I'm processing slowly, since I have a lot of family service to do, for my wife, daughter and all the relationships who keep on visiting our home. 😉

Well, at least, the prime is done.

I cannot believe if anyone who dislike prime!? Especially the #1500 surfacer——It's so silk-like smoothy and honest: always tell you all the great details on the surface, as well as the flaws you made.

Now we are talking: the real fun, painting, begins!

Stay tuned!

That looks like a dream kit : )  This is really incredible work you're doing.  Were you actually part of the design team?

Thanks! And yes I was part of the design team.

haneto, beautiful work and extremely well executed! Your attention to detail is without compare. Still not sure how you got the color separation on parts so crisp and clean. Keep up the great work.

I'm not seeing any flaws through the primer! I'm looking forward to seeing her painted. Which aircraft will you be depicting?

Happy Holidays,  Tom

Thanks Tom.

I'm gonna build the "Red 01" with shark mouth from 689th GvIAP.

Still collecting reference photo of the real aircraft though.

Elmo

Thanks Elmo.

I just paint/weathered the parts seperately before gluing them.

Nothing difficult, just a little patience will do the job.

A little late to the show. Man, that cockpit looks simply amazing. You put more work to the seat than I probably put in an entire model. Great work.

Thanks! Well actually not too much details will be seen after assembling.

It's always pain point of aircraft modelling though.

So when I designed the kit, I always put the "compromise" logic for part breaking/detail selection in my mind.

I'm processing slowly to paint the camo since the Flanker is indeed quite big.

(My fingers gets tired easily during spray the shadows over camo.)

Will keep you updated and your encouragement gives me so much motivation.

Thanks for following and stay tuned!

Re-read your thread....I am so grateful for your colour call outs on the details! After I'm d8ne with my Giant Viggen I will set my teeth into a GWH Su-27UB and make it a Ukrainian tribute!

Great!

Actually GWH will release one limited edition of 1/48 Ukrainian digital camo Su-27UB very soon.

Maybe you can wait for that version. 🙂

So sorry for being silent for a while.

I was busy with my daily work, and also painting this beast(it's huge)!

So finally I finished the basic painting and washing job.

Next will be another fun part: weathering!!

Here again, I share with you my recipe.

First, the body.

Thanks for following guys!

We are facing lock down in Shanghai recently, due to re-breakout of COVID-19.

I have been staying at home for more than 2 weeks, but there is never boring life for modeller like this!

So I made lots of progress over the past 2 weeks.

Here we go!

Some addtional work on small parts:

Once the weathering goal was secured by a semi-gloss clear coating, I turn to the bare metal area painting.

First is the small areas on fuselage, where Galaxy Model pre-cut masking tape comes for rescue.

A must buy item for the built!
