Gator52
I'd really like to find better photos of this artwork: These are screen grabs from a video recorded at Barksdale in April 1992; I believe the nose art on the left side is "Swamp Rat" Thanks Chris
aircommando130
I thought the KC-10 was extremely good looking in the white top/blue paint scheme. The C-5/C-141 were good looking jets in the gray/white paint scheme too. Have some time under the KC-10 boom in the old C-5A when they were both painted up nice! Cheers and Happy New Year! habu2
Randy Jolly has a nose-on shot (a two page spread) of Swamp Rat in his book “The Real Heroes” ISBN 0-933424-44-2, the same shot appears in a 1994 calendar he put out.

Gator52
Received my copy of Randy's book today, very nicely done. I'm wondering how I overlooked it for the past 30 years! Nice photo of the Swamp Rat as Habu mentioned; still hoping to ID the emblem on the right side of the nose. Thanks Chris
Gator52
I'm convinced the graphic on the right side of the nose is the 32d Air Refueling Squadron emblem of the 1992 era: 32 ARS Heritage Patch | 32nd Air Refueling Squadron Patches (aviatorgear.com) Given the tail number concerned (0032), it fits that the squadron emblem was placed on that particular jet, when I haven't seen it on any others. Today's 32 ARS emblem has been simplified: 32 ARS Patch | 32nd Air Refueling Squadron Patches (aviatorgear.com) Still on the lookout for a good shot of the Swamp Rat nose art- Chris
Dutch
Chris, It certainly does match the photo in the book “The Real Heroes.”
