Kurt H.
I have been working in this one when I can, it has been a busy two months for me. Since the last time we talked I have painted the camo The masking tape you see in the above picture is where I masked the top side to touch up the camo gray Next step was to mask the bird slicers and the other antennas I had to do micro surgical masking and after painting several small sections 4 different shades of gray: And ... let's see how the masking came out: It's ... well .. OK ... not bad but I could do better. I still need to paint the burner can .. then I guess it is on to decals.

Thanks, I have the pictures that emerged when the plane was first painted, and it showed it was really clean. So It is nice to know it is still nice and clean, so I will probably not do any weathering.

Thadeus
That's a nice scheme. Fits an F-16 quite good. I don't know why, but when I see it, I keep expecting it to have Belgian AF markings. Not that they ever wore such a scheme. Or operated a C. Would look cool next to Venezuelan F-16 😉 Just saying!
habu2
Reminds me of Venezuela
Matthew83128
That’s really cool. The first jet I was a crew chief on (83-128) was camouflaged back in the 80’s was a test to see if F-16’s could do the A-10 mission. They carried a large gun pod on the cenertline station. From what understand it didn’t work well. http://www.caracalmodels.com/cd48056.html
Kurt H.
Thanks for the encouragement. I am working on the decals. No stencils for the underside are provided on the Caracal sheet, but there are many on the tamiya sheet. I still need to finish the seat, and the landing light for the nose gear. Funny you mentioned the Euro 1 camo F-16 .... I finished that one up a few months ago with the Hasegawa F-16C
Kurt H.
Almost there! I just need to add some ordnance, I will use an AIM-120 and an ACMI pod. I saw at least one picture with such a loadout.

Kurt H.
And it is done! I just glued the ACMI and AIM-120 in place. It took a few days to paint, decal, and dulcote them. I will take pretty pictures tomorrow.

I'm so used to seeing it in tones of grey, but you've captured the SEA look brilliantly. Well done! Andy
