X-Plane Fan Posted February 21, 2022 Share Posted February 21, 2022 The photo was taken at Site 2 in Palmdale, Ca. That location is used for all Lockheed maintenance on the U-2. As part of the process, the paint is stripped from the airframe to check for corrosion and the aircraft are flown on functional check flights before being repainted.
