Drifterdon
I thought at one time I had seen a decal sheet produced that included all the Naval Air Station names in 1/48. A search of the interweb turns up nada. Does anyone else recall such a decal sheet or am misremembering again?
habu2
Not 1/48 but are you thinking of the 2nd sheet of this set? https://www.caracalmodels.com/cd32018.html
Spruemeister
We need the names in white as well for GSB Naval Reserve aircraft. It’s not fun canabalizing otherwise perfectly good sheets just for two little decals. Rick L.
habu2
@Spruemeister I don't disagree but I have a couple of these sheets from a "scrap sale" Caracal did a while back. No baby seal sheets will be harmed... lol
Chriss7607
Yellow Wings Decals is probably the ones you're thinking of. If I remember correctly, they had an East coast and a West coast sheet.

I'm wanting to do an F8F Bearcat from the Denver NAS when they were flying out of Buckley. I've been trying to find anything with Denver on it but no luck.

Still not in white or with the name I was looking for. But thanks for sharing.
Spook498
Both TechMod and Print Scale offer 48th scale white lettering in various heights and fonts. You may also try model railroad "O" scale lettering as dry transfers.
Dutch
Don, Also in 1:72, but black, not white. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/microscale-72-478-us-naval-air-station-names--1014885 Edited May 3, 2022 by Dutch
Spruemeister
Having done a similar project with Woodland Scenic dry transfers, I can testify that having to deal with alignment, kerning, and such with individual letters is a giant posterior ache. Not doing it again. Rick L.
KursadA
This is a good idea, but I guess a comprehensive set can only be made in one or two sizes at most..I will think about this.
