kg4kpg
Finishing up a 1/72 F/A-18D from VMFA(AW)-533 Hawks and trying to find suitable pilots in my spares bag. These appear to be my most modern. Any of these guys equipped to fly plane? Thanks
usmcski6502
You could use the two aircrew on the right, but sand down the visor covers on their HGU-33/P helmets to better replicate the HGU-55/Ps used as appropriate with the F/A-18D. This link should help with visual references: http://www.salimbeti.com/aviation/helmets4.htm Hope this helps! Semper, Ski
Thadeus
The top middle guy and the bottom second from the right both sport a HGU-55. The top has visor down and the bottom visor up. If I see them correctly, they are from Revell and Hasegawa F-16's respectivelly. I'd probably be using these two. The harness and survival gear could also be verified / factored in the choice, but imo, in 1/72 there is really no way anyone will notice on the completed model. BTW, in the Hasegawa F/A-18C/D kits, there is a guy equipped with NVGs. He has similar body to the ones on the right (I believe from Fujimi F-14 or A-6 kits).
