gary1701
Gents, A few piccys from a run over to Lakenheath one evening earlier this week. The summer months give you a chance to shoot from the North side with the sun behind you rather than the more normal South side. The forecast was for clearing skies at the end of the day but they got that mostly wrong so I got just a 10 minute spell of sunlight on just 2 of the F-35s and about 4/5 F-15s from the 16 that recovered from the late afternoon/early evening sortie. The Elmendorf F-22s that came in en route to Poland were hangered and out of sight although they finally went Thursday. At least I got some nice backdrops. 20-5571/74 are both new deliveries that weren't here in May when I last visited. The Valkyries are now up to 14 F-35s. The two F-15E squadrons are both resident, but unfortunately no sign of the newly marked anniversary jet whilst I was there. 'Bolar 1' has a newly marked fin flash, jet has changed as well. Great looking set, Gary. -Jeff
