PascalK
Good Morning Eagle fans! Inspired by my latest decal release I have to start an F-15C from my favorite USAFE Air Base Bitburg. I choose the 80-0013 or balls 13 of Captain Greg Clasen "The Claw" because our last names are quite familia and his Eagle was full of stencils and panel numbering. As for the stencils and panel numbers I will use this set: All decals or just the stencils are available here: https://www.pkproductions.de/shop/
PascalK
The Great Wall Hobby kit offers a fantastic Cockpit, so there is not much rework needed. But I will add some 3D printed switched and knobs by Anyz later on. As preparation I need to drill 0,4mm holes into the panel. A-10 LOADER
I can appreciate your efforts for doing this in the cockpit, I like to scratch-build / modify things as well but, why not just use 3D decals and save yourself a lot of effort and grief. Steve
PascalK
Hey Steve, first of all thank you! Thats no option for me, I know the quality is really great but I really enjoy the cockpit work. There is no other reason 😉 I have a few models here, were I only finished the Cockpit. I will attach my F-104 Cockpit for you in 1/48, done with decals and 3D switches. Why close all that great detail inside a kit that will never be seen?! I guess the old saying, "you know it's in there", but that's some amazing work!

Cockpits are my favorite as well but, as I grow older and my hands get more shaky I think I'll have to go the decal route for the cockpits. Thank goodness for these and, my OptiVisor. The above cockpit looks awesome. Steve
ExchefAndy
I would have suggested the 3D stuff like Steve... But, that looks amazing. I've wanted to do a 1/48 Eagle for ages but wasn't sure which kit, so I'll be following along for sure! Andy
cruiz
Excellent work, Pascal; that cockpit is terrific. I've recently learned about your products in a podcast, and they look great; good luck!
Thadeus
nice project. Considering that F-104 cockpit, I bet Eagle will be a walk in the park. All that space in the cockpit!
Squizzy Taylor
This is a kit high on my to do list, I’m following this and can’t wait to see more! This cockpit is going to be next level
PascalK
Let's get back to the F-15 and finish the cockpit! A base layer of FS36231 was applied by airbrush. After that I used several black color tones for the panels and finally I'm adding the decals from ANYZ models.

PascalK
Guys, here are more pictures of the detail work in the bay 5 area. Lead wire and 3D printed connectors from ANYZ Models were used to get this result. It was much easier to use copper wire instead of the kit plastic handles.
lgl007
You are blowing us away with this level of detail and accuracy! At 1/48? Simply stunning! You must have great eyesight or a fantastic magnifying glass for all that detail work 😜 -Greg

PascalK
The only authentic color for the F-15 metallic blue is Xtracolor X159, very old school... After a drying time of one week, I start painting the details. A mix of ANYZ models and Quinta 3D decals push the side wall on a higher level.
