wwesley3
Any suggestions on what type of wire to use to make an arming wire. I plan to wire 1:48 mer’s and ter’s. Mk 82 & mk83.
A-10 LOADER
I used 34 gauge wire on my 1/48th TER's for my S-3B. I'd use the same for the bombs. You can find it at Michael's Craft store. Steve

GW8345
Are you referring to the wire used on the bombs/fuzes themselves? If so you are going to want to use a very thin wire, I use old headphone wire and old wiring from radio's/walkman's (yes I'm that old). For WWII and Korea era bombs (and some 5.00" rocket warheads) the arming wire are brass, for modern bombs (Mk 80 Series GP) the nose fuze would be brass and the tail fuze would be silver (steel). For Mk 15 and MAU-91 retard fins use brass color, for GBU's/LGB's use silver (they are actually lanyards and not wire). You want to use at least a 32 gauge or smaller wire, anything larger would be out of scale. hth GW
