Monogram 1/48 F-104c Starfighter

Finished the exhaust area with adding the burner can and fading the tone variation of this area.

 

Gun bay ready too.

 

Next: I’ve glued in the rear landing gear, then it a gloss coat and a panel line wash to increase visibility of the wiring.

Love the Zipper. As I recall, this was Monogram’s first entry in their vaunted lineup of 1:48 Century Series jets.

 

Great job of masking off that anti-glare section…it’s a real challenge to achieve symmetry and alignment.

Those AIM-9s on the bottom rails look like they'd scrape the ground haha...

 

But the ALQ-131 pod on the F-16 centerline was only a few inches off the ground also. I don't remember them being damaged, except one where he landed gear up...but thats another story.

Thanks, not sure that I saw a Staf before with sidewinders on that position.
