BastianD
Finished the exhaust area with adding the burner can and fading the tone variation of this area. Gun bay ready too. Next: I’ve glued in the rear landing gear, then it a gloss coat and a panel line wash to increase visibility of the wiring. Edited January 16 by BastianD
BastianD
After the gloss coat and panel lines (1st wave), starting the decaling.
BastianD
The Staf gets it’s’ sexy looks! And the Micro Sol is doing what it has to do, nice decals over the panel lines.
BastianD
Seen from another build on the F-104c Monogram that decals especially the stripes are not the right dimension. So corrected afterwards. Edited January 28 by BastianD
BastianD
First step in the nose job: the light gray on the radome. Next will be masking for the anti glare panel in a mix of 34079 with a little black.
BastianD
And some decals cut into pieces to adhere over the brake panels:
BastianD
And the last piece of spraying: the radome top and anti glare panel, with a mix of 34079 and black. let’s see how it arrives after unmasking.

RichB63
Love the Zipper. As I recall, this was Monogram’s first entry in their vaunted lineup of 1:48 Century Series jets. Great job of masking off that anti-glare section…it’s a real challenge to achieve symmetry and alignment. Edited February 2 by RichB63

BastianD
All decals on and in the Micro Sol, including the gun bay door. As I will make it with an open door, I leave the decal to set and dry, and then cut with a new blade.

Planegeek
Those AIM-9s on the bottom rails look like they'd scrape the ground haha... But the ALQ-131 pod on the F-16 centerline was only a few inches off the ground also. I don't remember them being damaged, except one where he landed gear up...but thats another story. Great work!
