jonwinn
I am looking to do another F-16 in 1/72 and would like to do an F-16 last flown by the Dutch before they acquired the F-35. What was the last variant flown by RNLAF and who makes a good kit for that variant. My last F-16 in 1/72 was Hasegawas F-16A Plus Fighting Falcon and was an excellent build. habu2
Pretty sure all of their A & B models got the MLU upgrade, they are still classified as Block 15 and now called F-16AM & BM. f-16.net is a wealth of info: https://www.f-16.net/f-16_users_article8.html https://www.f-16.net/g3/f-16-photos/album37/album13 (links added) Edited November 16, 2022 by habu2
jonwinn
Thanks,I surmised the F-16AM was an A with MLU, correct?
habu2
Correct. USAF F-16C/D that have been through the similar CCIP upgrade are now called CM & DM. Next big step for USAF is PoBIT: https://www.aflcmc.af.mil/news/article-display/article/2948183/f-16-fleet-undergoing-largest-modification-work-in-history/

The Dutch still fly the F-16 (next to the F-35). They are slated for withdrawal in 2024. Only the F-16AM is still in use since the last twoseat BMs were retired during the summer. Look likes J-067 flew back to the Netherlands from Arizona on December 13th.
