C-141B 67-0013 FROM THE PIMA AIR & SPACE MUSEUM Chris Also great reference for my non-SOLL C-141B project (someday). Interesting how it appears to be a McGuire tail flash superimposed over Charleston markings... Thanks! Chris Edited November 29, 2022 by Gator52
habu2
I was organizing my image files today and found these from a trip in 2014. I didn't realize what I was photographing at the time, I was in aircraft overload. This is the jet at Pima, they don't really add much to the excellent walk-around posted by UKPonchoMan, but here they are: Full-size crops from the original 20 MP image: But here's the prize shot - I was on a photo trip with Jake Melampy, we had rented a plane for an aerial photo tour of the Davis-Monthan Boneyard, and we also overflew Pima. I just happened to get a shot of the C-141 that shows the upper antenna locations that couldn't be seen very well from ground level. The (cropped) image is 2772 x 1554 so click then click again for the full resolution image: . Edited December 4, 2022 by habu2

Da SWO
Any suggestions for making the RHAW sensor on the nose? I actually plan on measuring them during my annual Pima County visit in January. I assume you are going with a 1/144 build?
habu2
Note the SatCom disc and the fwd blade antenna are not on the centerline like the rest of the farm.
Da SWO
@bluedot25 Was at Pima County Air and Space Museum today. We (son and I) took a ruler and measured some of the features. I can post them in a couple of days if you want.

Da SWO
I'll post as three groups. The first is the flare and chaff dispensers.
Da SWO
FLIR Housing: Side view. Front: IIRC the FLIR Ball was the same as the SOLL II C-130's and the MC-130P. I can look around for some photo's of the ball if you need it.
Da SWO
RHAW(?) looks. Tail end: Front RHAW(?) Sensors: One final batch tomorrow. Sorry it's taking so long, but I am squeezing this in between chores.
Murph
The World Air Power Journal Volume 42 is definitely worth spending some effort to find; it even included cockpit photos. Regards, Murph Edited January 26, 2023 by Murph
