Drew T.
She’s done! I started this project right around Christmas time last year, so it’s taken me nearly a full year to get it done. I probably could have finished it much sooner if I hadn’t gone down the rabbit hole of fixing some of the panel lines and adding rivets. As it turns out, is probably the heaviest model I’ve completed, partly because the bombs and drop tanks are solid resin! So far, the landing gear is holding up though. You might notice that I forgot to add the two small probes behind the nose gear in the middle of taking photos, but they’re on there now. Progress thread is here: On to the photos: Thanks for looking! Drew

Gator52
Terrific job, I especially like the weathering on the control surfaces, great effect. Chris
Drew T.
Thanks! I enjoyed trying to capture the look of the Eagles that operated in OIF and OEF. They got surprisingly grubby for USAF jets!
aircommando130
The first Strike Eagle I saw was on the ramp in Saudi during Desert Shield. They were brand new were just an impressive looking version of the fighter Eagle. In January the Iraqi's felt the wrath of the Eagle. Great job on your E model! Happy New Year! Scooby
Wow, stunning work. I was going to sell my Promodeler F-15E and replace it with a GWH F-15E but after seeing your build I think I will keep it. Love the grease throwing off the control surfaces! I’m very familiar with that on our Hornets.
Drew T.
Thanks guys! The Revell kit can still hold it's own. I don't think the GWH kit is much of an improvement. It's main advantage is that it includes upgrades that the Eagle has received over the past 10-15 years.
Thadeus
Amazing work. I love every bit of Your Eagle. Exhaust especially. Amazing detail work there.

crackerjazz
I must live under a rock. I never even saw this : ) All I can say is that I really envy your weathering skills. They're really like scaled-down jets -- like zapped-down real aircraft -- because of the detailed weathering. Mind if I ask how you do your model photography? I often use a phone but the weathering and tonal variations are often not captured maybe because of the limited dynamic range of phone cameras? Then I moved to DSLRs but it's a bit harder to control the depth of field so keep coming back to the phone. What's your setup like?
