midnightprowler
I wish I could afford it, but even if I had $200 it would be hard to spend it on one kit.
Lupusprimus
I started building a flying S-64F at the end of 2018. Here is the detailed construction report: https://www.scalerchelis.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=19163 Ian built his scratch variant in 1:35 in parallel, so all add-on parts are also available 3D printed in 1:35. If someone wants to build such a firefighting variant with double wheels, he is welcome to write to me. There are also 3 different decal sets for Forestale and Erickson Air-Crane, of course also in 1:35. https://helicopter-decals.de/Helicopter-type/S-64-CH-54-Skycrane:::60_110.html?language=en Edited February 11, 2023 by Lupusprimus
ALF18
This is a link to the Plastic Models Store in Kyiv, Ukraine. They just announced it with free shipping. If you sign up for the newsletter, you get 8% off. I've bought from them a few times - their profit goes to buy much-needed kit for the Ukrainian forces. Worth supporting them by buying from this store. https://plastic-models-store.com/icm-53054-135-sikorsky-ch-54a-tarhe-us-heavy-helicopter?utm_source=sendpulse&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=sendpulse-dec-report ALF

HeavyArty
It looks great. Looks like all the hydraulic lines and hoses are present. Very nice. Edited February 16, 2023 by HeavyArty

gatorbait51
I was thinking about the PBR lift and I “think” it maybe the 355th avn Company that did it. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Rotorman
Yes PBR lift would be perfect

HeavyArty
"Riverine Operations: a US Army CH-54A Skycrane helicopter airlifts a river patrol boat (PBR) from Go Dau Ha to an operation on the upper Saigon River, June 1969, during the war in Vietnam." The date an place may help. The distinctive unit insignia should be helpful as well. Looks like 18420 on the tailboom too. If it is 18420, that would be 67-18420. In '69, it was assigned to the following: Circa 1968 Transferred to 478th Heavy Helicopter Company, 1st Cavalry Division, South Vietnam. Unit named Hurricanes. Its full history can be found here: https://www.aerialvisuals.ca/AirframeDossier.php?Serial=54546 It was still flying for Erickson as of 2018. Lupusprimus
We have two new decal sets, especially for the CH-54A. https://helicopter-decals.de/Helicopter-type/S-64-Skycrane-CH-54-Tarhe:::60_110.html?language=en Is there still a need for other variants?
uncarina
Thanks for providing these. From the one CH-64 sheet I saw it looks like the biggest modification for this and your other versions are the bubble side windows (single vs. double main wheels aside). Does anyone produce these in 1/35 scale? Cheers, Tom

Lupusprimus
You can buy the parts here. They are also available in 1:35, same prices. If you need only certain individual parts, just send a mail. https://heli-scale-quality.de/Rotor-distance-355-to-450-mm/Sikorsky-S-64F-Skycrane-CH-54:::49_111.html?language=en
