GSymmonds
Not sure where to put this but the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum has just published a data base called Canadian Aircraft Serials and Personnel Information Resource (CASPIR). It is a comprehensive collection of all Canadian aircraft serials and crews and fates. Very impressive and will be very useful! https://caspir.warplane.com/

PDIXON316
Really cool, Thanks for Sharing. Found a family friend when I was a kid. Long since passed and never really talked about his experience, all I knew from my dad is that he was a POW after being shot down and that he was a navigator. My memory is not that clear but I do remember him wearing a tie clip or a medal and it had a sapphire or orange jewel in it. He told my Dad that only crews that had jumped out of a burning aircraft and survived got one. Anyone have any idea on what type of medal that might be from the RCAF??
