Anyone use this company’s 3D prints? MPM Hobbies, any good?

I just purchased some of their Mk-82 bomb sets and was very disappointed. There were no decals, the detailing was very poor and the product received was 3D-printed rubbery plastic that did not provide much visible detail. The attachment tabs from the base of the 3D-print are too think and will require careful cutting away and sanding to remove their appearance from the bombs. The bombs surface are slick and do not have any roughness as a real bomb would have. The other brands of resin bombs I have purchased are hundreds of times better quality then these.

I sent them the following email about my feedback and never received any response:

"I received the order, and I am not very happy with the product.

First, I guess that I ought to have looked closer at the description of the product to realize that it does not come with decals which are a must to get good detailing.

Second, the actual detail of the items is not very good and do not look as detailed as the photos on your website.

Last and most concerning are that these are sticky, oily, rubbery, and seem to have not properly cured. I am not certain that paint will adhere to them. Even if I am able with a coat of primer first get them painted, they are not going to look very good due to poor detailing.

In summery these are not suitable for the hobby of detailed modeling such as I do and appear more suitable for children's toys or for amateur hobbyist who build the cheap models. I purchase high end models and put looks of time and money into my models. I do not mind paying for good products as I care very much about the final product and usually purchase Eduard, Flying Leatherneck or equivalent. I thought I would give your product a try when I say your advertising as it looked good on your website. But now afterwards I regret this decision and I will never use these items nor purchase anything else from your company.

My feedback is that if you intend to sell your products to the detailed modeling community that you make some vast improvements in them. You really need to provide appropriate decals for markings, the hooks on the bombs need to look like hooks and not tiny tabs, the detailing of bombs need to be much more detailed and visible. Most importantly ensure the product is properly cured after it has been made before you send out to customers."

If RESKIT is available to you, go with them. I've ordered lots of their 3D stuff and it's outstanding! If you have to order directly from them (Ukraine) they are completely trustworthy. Never had a delivery problem and their work is amazing...

Had a very bad experience with them they never shipped my order. Lots of lies lots of excuses.

I too am having problems with them. Ordered 3 items on May 5th still nothing. Called, no answer. Couples emails no reply.
Really thinking now they are scammers.

I just ordered these yesterday.  They are clear on the website that the order will be filled in 15-30 days and I've already received an email from them that they "are filling a large order and yours will be ran next."  I'll sound off when I get the results.

Did a couple of orders from them through a well known bidding site. Was fine until I ordered some AGM-142 Popeyes, along with some other stuff. Only got one of the two sets that I ordered and none of the lenses that I paid for. Send a number of messages back and forth but still don't have my other set of missiles and they no longer sell on that auction site, at least under 'MPM Hobbies'.

Update:  Received the above order eight days later.  No decals and items were still attached to the printing trees.  I'm too inexperienced to comment on the quality but I'm satisfied with the communication and speed of delivery.

I just recently ordered a SR-71 model plane from MPM Hobbies. I found this store online and they looked reputable, so I placed my order. Placing my order was fast and easy, they had decent prices for their products, and fast shipping. The quality of MPM Hobbies product was great and it had everything in the box as it listed at the time of purchase, including decals. I am very happy with this business and refer all my friends and family. Thank you MPM Hobbies for going far and beyond!
