Good on you for indulging it!

Thanks! 😄

Whether it relates to indulging is unclear but the Pilot Painting Party has encountered 'Mission Creeppp' and now includes an Engine and Propellor Painting Party.

(pilot committee meeting is just out of frame to right)

While the Yellow Wings livery, which these are most likely to end up in for my alternate history mentioned previously, usually had natural metal or perhaps silver painted prop blades and RYB tip colors, I'm going with the later black blades with yellow tips.

Note: blades have only 1 thin coat of paint.

They are getting first coat of classic Testors flat black enamel, then final coat of a railroad acrylic which is almost but not quite true black.

Engines are: starting with 4 blade prop and moving clockwise,

Monogram/Revell F4U Corsair

Tamiya F2A/B-33something Buffalo

Monogram/Revell SBD Dauntless

Lindberg TBF Avenger

Monogram/Revell TBF Avenger

And believe it or not ...

I'm pondering adding some little bitty detail bits to the SBD engine face.
