Raptor.777
Are there major differences between these blocks when it comes to cockpit layout. Starting a Tamiya F-16C block25/32 and turning it into a block 42 with the WAR HUD, of the Ohio ANG using some custom decals. Using a Babibi 3D printed cockpit panels for the block 25/30 Thanks Jeff
jmel
Differences? Yes. Major? Not really. As with anything else, it depends on what your threshold for accuracy is. There's a few books (The Modern Viper Guide, for example) that has pics of all the various cockpit layouts. As you mention, the HUD frame and glass is the biggest difference, along with some wire bundles that lead up aft of the ejection seat. Most of the rest won't be visible, even in 1/32. habu2
There are also differences between US and foreign operators of the same block, but again they are probably not noticeable in 72nd or 48th. I once had a webpage dedicated to F-16s in scale, you can find most of it on the wayback machine. These cockpit layouts are very old and, while accurate at the time, they may not be 100% accurate today. http://web.archive.org/web/20080101215955fw_/http://www.habu2.net/vipers/viperpits/index.html
okthree
Some of the Guard units especially those flying block 50/52 jets are replacing their analog flight instruments on the lower center console with a glass center display unit.
