I'm paying attention the these things now. Hey, Ret, I would've asked about how you do the Command module foiling if they're individually-cut strips. They're very nicely done. Woah! The Tomcats again! : ) Wreaking havoc once more : ) There was a beautiful F-14D right beside the Top Gun cats. How could I have missed taking pics of it -- but it was beautifully weathered. It was great to see Ricardo and talk with some other new friends! Sorry I missed you. The foil is a tricky thing as I've rediscovered doing my second 1/32 CSM - I wasn't particularly happy with the results because I think I forgot the lessons I had learned the first time. What I'd say is this - on the SM apply the foil on separate panels - don't try and do the whole thing at once - I ended up with problems trying to apply the foil to too large of an area - there's a kind of elastic quality to it as you sooth it down and it will bind up after awhile. On the CM though I did do larger areas - maybe just 2 half sheets. I then scribed the individual "strips" onto the foil surface. I've seen other people do individual strips on the CM before and besides being a long process and a pain in the behind, the foil strips look like they tear easily and fray.
