Plane Spotting 2,500ft over LAX

Recommended Posts

I’ve never been so excited about sharing images from one of my adventures! A couple of weeks ago, I did some plane spotting at LAX from 2500ft!

Interesting perspective, I had no idea FAA allowed such access.  The closest experience I've had was an overflight of the DM boneyard and Pima museum a few years back.

Star Helicopters is the only private flight operation allowed to offer photo flights over the restricted airspace above LAX. We had to inform LAX tower 24 hours prior to our photo flights as well get permission to enter and exit the air space above LAX.

Awesome shots Steven ..!

My dad would take us up to Clutter's Park back in the 70s & 80s ... Back then I'm not sure if it had a name yet and it was just salmon pink cement benches along the street, no fencing, etc ... I believe up on the hill there you're actually in El Segundo ...

Thank you for sharing your wonderful captures ..!
