Is this kit for sale anywhere yet?  Nothing yet on Ebay but...

According to the kit release table over at Cybermodeler, it's due out in November. HTH, Fred K.

I am working on this and will announce a product number soon. Stay tuned - and hydrated (preferably with glacial water)

Yeah, I saw that snarky comment over at Britmodeller.  You must have not released the decals for the 1/48 Suggs Wonderplane Mk. VII (Tropical) fast enough for him.

Just ordered two RF-8A from SprueBros (Gs were out of stock) sprues are the same anyway and don't care much about the kits decals. Waiting to see what comes out of Austin.

Agreed! I ordered three of the G's from Hannants last week as soon as they came out. I too am interested to see what kind of magic Kursad works up for this kit! Fred K.

Almost done - I will wrap up the work this week and send these to be printed along with the Test & Drone F-104s and the tall-tail B-52A/F sheet (first in 1/144)

We live in epic times!

Awesome news!  Just received in the mail my first RF-8A kit and my initial impression is good - not only for the kit but also the box as Sword has finally stepped up their game and is now providing a durable top-opening container.  Look forward to building several of these - a family friend earned his first Air Medal flying recce Crusaders with VMCJ-2 during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Agreed! Nice looking kit, and WAY better boxes! Fred.

Did I miss it or isn't there a preview of your decals for the Recon Crusader available yet? I'd love to see some for the 1970 USS Bonne Homme Richard WestPac since I have VF-53 decals and A-4E VA-94 from that cruise and it would provide for a nice dio.

Cheers

Michael

No progress that I can share - I am doing this but it will take some time as I have other high priority projects in the pipeline. Most likely after New Year.

No rush. I was just wondering. It’ll be worth the wait I’m sure.
