The one you see may be the tracking heading to KS, once the box arrived it will be rerouted via UPS or USPS and another tracking will be loaded Raymond
flanker27
Hi Raymond, my order is shown on container ZEAL LUMOS, estimated to arrive on April 15 but the container ship is still off the coast of China. Any ETA on its arrival?
Specter1075
I have a couple items supposed to be on that ship too. I've been wondering if they didn't get transfered to another vessel for the trip to North America.
Raymond Chung
We are asking the shipping company by container number and see if it transferred to another vessel

UPS is excellent, USPS is terrible. Or will it be shipped UPS with a hand off to USPS for final delivery (UPS Sure Post}? That will add at least three days to normal UPS delivery.
UPS SurePost® is an economy service for your non-urgent, business to consumer needs of low value
Of course this "Sure Post" scheme is not good for the customer, but good for the shipper since it is less expensive. Raymond Chung
It depends on the zip code recently the USPS offer cheaper price. but let me check if we can bear the additional cost or giving an option to go for higher price using UPS

Just a few us us "need" it NOW! Gene K As those who buy overseas, you notice the cross boarder purchase via traditional postal services becoming more expensive. The world has changed from globalization to regionalization. Thus, at LuckyModel, this is the 4th years that we working hard to establish a new supply chain network to cope with the postal cost, VAT challenge worldwide. The LUCKY AIR is a new method which we are fine tunning everyday in order to offer the lowest possible cross countries shipping while maintain a reasonable timing. 5 days cross country low shipping cost has gone by the public services. The last region to be handled is the Europe region where we are going to setup the VAT processing to avoid VAT handling cost imposed to the consumer.
Specter1075
Hi Raymond! If I can ask another question; If someone makes an order with 6 or 7 items, is it normal that those items all ship at different times? Or does only one item show "shipped" but the whole order is on the way? Why would items be separated from an order and shipped at different times? I have 4 orders that are almost 6 months old, and in each order there is 3 or 4 items. All items except one or two pre-orders were in stock at the time of purchase. They all say "queued to FCL shipment" since 2023, but it seems like each item ships at different times. For example, in one order, 4 items shipped within a couple days of each other. Two arrived months ago, and the other two have not arrived at all. This week one different item suddenly changed to "shipped". There remains 11 items from 4 different orders that are all queued to FCL, and have been so since Oct/Nov 2023, but maybe are still in the warehouse? 5-6 months is a long time for them to be sitting there, especially when the whole process should be 6 months in total. Is there something I am misunderstanding about your process? Edited April 18, 2024 by Specter1075
Raymond Chung
As nowadays we have multiple warehouse among world, and we have 2 warehouse in Hk/China region so when you see in stock it may in stock in Hk or China office. And we will split the order and handle the shipment from different center. as those items already in USA those item will be released right away. So sometimes some client is surprised with the 5 days delivery with surface mail ! as some of the items are stocked in China where the release to shipping is different from HK (as container fully loaded sometimes) it will be postponed to next container. the order from Oct-Dec is exceptional as it impact by the ocean freight crisis, and we have released the March container (fully loaded) and we will continue to load in next container in May. Specter1075
I see. So it is correct to assume that all the remaining items will ship in May?

Mr Matt Foley
My kit arrived this morning, a day earlier than expected. Looking it over, I checked the trees to make certain everything was there and there seems to be more room in the box compared to some other GWH kits that are really packed tight. This led to a problem with the solid metal weight that is provided with the kit. GWH has it packaged in its own small box glued to the inside of the kit box. This is a bad idea because it is not secured very well and due to rough handling made it's way out of its packaging and was moving around through the parts trees. This thing should have been secured better and enclosed in bubble wrap. So far all parts seem intact and without damage. I hope to start this kit soon. I have other projects ongoing, and this will be the next aircraft I tackle.
Specter1075
I had the same thing. The weight had come loose and bounced around. In my case, the little weight box looked torn, so I had wondered if customs didn't look in there and the tear prevented the box from staying shut afterward. No damage in any case. Thanks, Raymond. As for lowest rates (for your in-US shipments), you may want to check out Pirate Ship (don't be put off by the name, they are 100% legitimate). I have saved a lot of money shipping to friends, and the label printing and tracking are outstanding. Gene K Edited April 24, 2024 by GeneK
ya-gabor
At the Moson show yesterday I received this brand new G.W.H 48th scale A-10C kit from a very good friend. Here are some random photos of kits details. Don’t know how much of the kit has been shown so far. Best regards Gabor

Curt B
I'm really excited...just a few moments ago, saw that SprueBrothers has the GWH A-10C in stock...FINALLY!!! i have placed my order, and soon, I will have this mythical kit in my hands. It seems like I've been waiting forever for this model. Everything points to this kit being the new 'best of' the A-10C, but even so, i've still got an unbuilt Academy A-10C with the Phase Hangar engine upgrades waiting in the wings. Plus, I've still got my first Academy plane almost complete...just need to get the final details, completing decals and weathering, done, but I seem to be stalled. Don't know why. Maybe this GWH kit incomingwill be the motivation I need to to get my personal A-10 pipeline moving...
Sysxii
This and the Academy offering look great. What would be needed to convert a C version to an A circa Op. Desert Storm?

Specter1075
You'd be removing the GPS antenna. Likely adding the Pave Penny pod (does that come with the GWH or Academy kits?) Not sure what else.

Mr Matt Foley
There would be some surgery needed to the GWH kit. BUT, the sprues are designed to change out some parts with A-10A parts by design. For those of us who have built the Monogram A-10A or the crap Trumpy A-10A you can readily see where parts would swap out (i.e. the wing tips and rear fuselage). Myself and other A-10 lovers see a number of areas where GWH was looking to the future.
