Source for Emergency Vehicle "White or Silver Reflective" Paint

Recommended Posts

Hi,

So I am asking all those that build emergency vehicle models (Ambulances, Fire Trucks, etc), I am looking for either decals or the refective paint

used on emergency vehicles to make them more visible when illuminated by light.  Anybody know a source?

Thanks in advance,

Steve,

I don't know if you remember me, but you gave me great information on the BO-105 years ago.  The markings on the real vehicles are reflective tape, usually made by 3M.

I was in law enforcement for 20 plus years.  Try Manny's diecast they usually have decals. but they are not reflective.

Harbor Freight sells reflective adhesive red & white tape. It may be overly thick for a scale application, but it's relatively cheap to try.

Thanks for the link, I’ll check it out.

Steve,

Awhile ago you were looking for reflective strips for emergency vehicles.  Today I found on Scalemates the following:  go to the "search "  and type in Strips,  and you'll get a lot of stripes for decals and such.  HiQ even makes the red and whites stripes for the back of firetrucks.  they even have the ted and yellow like they put on the rear of firetrucks.  they arent reflective but I belive the will work. Actual reflective striping would be too thick for models.
