eraucubsfan
With the announcement of the Tamiya C, I would like to see these decals make it into your ever-growing queue

This is a very important sheet for me, and curious if you have made any headway due to the trademark and corporate logo challenges. When printed, I will purchase many sheets! Appreciate any updates you may want to provide! Larry from China Lake, CA.
stu_fishing
Not to hijack this thread, but as I am currently building AF-01 and BF-01 in 144 scale I do have some questions to the knowledgeable which might also be if importance if a sheet is aver to come around: - From what I have seen on pictures both airframes do not have the off-color RAM tape around panels, neither do they seem to have the metallic HGV overcoat. - Anyone know the FS of the vertical stabs? Seems to be a very dark grey on BF-01 and a dark blue with a purple hue on AF-01? Thx & BR Thomas
arg
From the previous poster, a) the prototypes did not have the metallic overcoats -- I plan on painting them overall gunship gray; b) I believe the vertical fins of AF-01 are insignia blue with insignia red bolt (white outline); BF-01 is black with shaded red-to-orange-to-yellow lettering and bolt. Now that Tamiya has announced a 1/72 F-35C, it would seem to follow that Hasegawa may do so also in the near future. If Hasegawa tracks like they did with the A and B, hopefully they will eventually issue a version with markings of the "F-35C Prototype" like they have for the F-35A and B. My anticipation is to use the 'troublesome' corporate markings from the 'Prototype' kits, and source all other markings from the hopefully-to-be-produced Caracal sheet(s). Regrettably I believe this will never happen. The last new tool Hasegawa aircraft was the F-35B seven years ago. Once the world’s leader in scale aircraft model production, Hasegawa now makes cars and furniture for 1/12 dolls. I don’t run a a model company, but I suppose that’s what keeps the lights on. I get sad just thinking about it.

habu2
I've posted this before but it bears repeating: Hasegawa has become a decal company that includes a free kit with every new sheet.

Paul Boyer
Of course, it's like a $65 decal sheet with a free plastic kit!☺️
Captain Tyler
Unfortunately I have to agree. You really do buy HAS kits for the decals haha
