BastianD
Front canopy has some glue stains on it, see picture. Any advice how to get rid of this, sanding it off and rework with multiple grades of sanding paper and finally making it gloss with polishing compound?
Robert Garelli
Sand it down with polishing pads and then buff it with some wax. That’s what I normally do.

Yep, that's it. And maybe some rescribing, depending on how deep is the glue/you need to sand... Assuming it is CA glue.

dsahling
Use "Great Planes CA Glue Debonder" put a little on a q-tip and you may have to rub/roll it over the CA glue for a while but it will remove the CA glue and won't damage the plastic. Just make sure you don't apply it over paint cause it will remove that too, but it's easy enough to just remark, prime, paint, etc. stuff works like a charm and really comes in handy. BastianD
Who knows the exact colour of the exhaust exterior? Should not be burnt metal, looks on pictures more like matte black?
ExchefAndy
I've been using a walk around on prime portal, and the pictures there look to me as though the colour is a consistent matte black. See link below! It's what I'll be doing once I've gotten past the fill, sand and prime process. davetur
Hi Bastian, from this pic in that wondeful thread, you see a major inaccuracy of the Testors/Italeri kit: the intersection of the triangular windscreen with the nose is straight and horizontal, instead of curved and going downward as it should be. Not an easy fix, though. Davide
