As utley commented on being out in the sun, maybe a pass or two with really thinned black to blend a little more.

Just go with one pass at a time, until satisfied, but it does look stellar though!

It turned out really well, just achieved the right setting for the Beast!

That has come out really well!

 It's always difficult to know when to call the job of weathering done, too much or too little... I'd be quite happy with that result.

To consider that this is a restoration as well, kudos 👍

Hey BastianD, great work! I have a pair that my wife found at a yard sale that need a restoration. The project is in the planning works. I haven't started yet, but your build has given me the itch! 

 

Nice effort and results!

Great to hear it inspired you! I have decals left of the Afterburner set that I used,?if your interested I can share some pictures of what is still left over.

Yes, please! That's very kind of you!

 

The kits did not come with decals. Actually, both were started and had some decals applied. I have none to use for my restoration(s).
