Can you please elaborate? I use refrence photo as well as decal illustration to place the decals as exactly as possible. Dai

You'll probably have to make a cut there and apply some setting solution again. It's coming along quite well though.

You can cut it and use some decal setting solution. Cheers Edited January 15 by DIO
dai phan
Hello everyone, This project is done. Here are my takes... PROS: 1. The best 1/48 scale Defiant. The ones by Trumpeter and Classic Airframes did not fare as well based online reviews. The Trumpeter suffers from serious outline issue and CA is harder to build. 2. Detailed cockpit and turret. 3. Good fit and engineering. I really like how the turet goes together and the fact it can be installed after the fuse is painted. CONS: 1. Simple surface details without rivets. A big flaw that makes the surface boring and lacks refinement. As such it makes the model feels "clunky", 2. Heavy panel lines. 3. Thick decals. 4. Long sinkmarks on the wings and landing gears. 5. The rear inside canopy is slightly narrow in width. I had the CA it to the seat bulkhead to secure. 6. The leading edge lights need some sandings to fit. The CMK engine set is basic and sits in the lower fuselage "tub". I wish CMK would engineered the kit to have open truss assembly. But I know what kind of headache that will bring. The Extradecal is strong, thin and repsonses well to solution. However some accuracy problems are noted with wrong size vertical tail decal and squadron letter spacing. Some off registration noted on some decals. Dai Edited January 15 by dai phan
