Boeing NC-135W Big Safari (Scale 1/72)

Recommended Posts

I finished my 3rd White Top, an NC-135W Big Safari.

The original  NC-135W was a test-bed belonging to the 645th MATS (Material Squadron) Det. 2 AFMC (Air Force Material Command) used by L3 Communications Integrated Systems at Major Field, Greenville, Texas, to support flight testing for the RC-135 Rivit Joints. Tripple six retired in September 2023.

The kit came from a AMT/&Ertl RC-135V Rivet Joint. Only the Airframe was used from the kit. Engine, antennas and decals were made by me.

Thank you for looking.

I wish all members  a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2024

Yes!   Early or late Ball?  There are so many variants.

Possibly without cheeks, but with CFM56 engines. I‘m tired of all the antennas on the belly at the moment. The Rivet Joint will be with early dish antennas.

But to give me a break from all these cheeks and antennas, next I build a KC-135R ‚Speckled Trout‘ from Edwards AFB
