1/144 Space Shuttle - best kit?

Recommended Posts

Hi Crowe,

I did read your build review. I just purchased the old Revell 1/144 747 w Shuttle, and looking to replace the shuttle on it for something better. My local hobby shop has the minicraft kit, so will pick it up.

Mike (Crowe-t) is right.

1/144 Revell Orbiter is good base to start, the Minicraft ET & SRBs are much better, But Airfix has good shaped wing profile..depends how much accurate frenzy you want the Shuttle model to be. Combo them together to make a good stack if you can.

Of course extra hard work like reworking parts ,adding and removing details to make the model accurate as possible to its full size counterpart will be rewarding.

Mike's 1/144 Discovery is a very nice accurate representation of full size stack & inspired many Space folks to build up more accurate Shuttles, If i may say so..😛

Cheers and just enjoy the Shuttle modelling.

 George
