IAGeezer
Does anyone make them? I've still got a stack of Monogram and ESCI kits to build!
pigsty
Nor did the F-14, as I recall. The images were projected onto the inside of the windscreen.

Later in life the F-14B got one and the F-14D had one from the start iirc.

It was called the Optical Sight Unit and did not contain flight data like a HUD does. It was used for weapons deployment. Basically a glorified gunsight. IAGeezer
The things one learns. Thank you. So, does anyone make an aftermarket Optical Sight Unit for an F-4, or the Combiner glass for an F-14D, and possibly B model? 1/48th, again.

BillS
I think the easiest route is to just use some thin clear acetate and make your own. There are plenty of images out there. You will have to fashion a little projector optic on top of the glare shield but again, easy to fashion from scrap. The F-4B should be particularly easy. Best!
RichB63
A number of Eduard photo etch sets for jets come with optical sights…
