1/48 wheel chocks-USAF/USN/USMC: Vietnam era to present

Recommended Posts

Was perusing FlyingLeatherNecks and Phasehangerresins and did not see any so I was wondering if any consideration be given on some 3-D print 1/48 & 1/32 wheel chocks. I'd be interested in USAF versions with ropes; if possible in 3D print capabilty, and the unique style USN/USMC versions with adjustable arms. Both wood and metal iterations from Vietnam till present would be great.

Ha! Funny you brought these up. I was at MCAS Beaufort a few weeks ago and photographed and measured a set they had in the hangar. Trying to resolve some issues with the F/A-18 flap set and finish the cockpit parts, then I was going to knock these out. Give me a couple weeks.

Reedoak has both vietnam and modern versions of US Navy wheel chocs, in different scales, designed on scans from the real things

The Reedoak stuff is awesome. Perfect replica. Gloria models now has both USN and USAF chocks that are excellent. Eduard makes both USN and USAF (AF ones I have came in F-16 wheels sets). *correction* Aires Wheeliant line has USN hard bar and rope versions.  I know there’s a few other USN and USAF sets out there. Just can’t remember who.

if Dave is doing them, they’ll be excellent!
