Skinny_Mike
Hi everyone! Working through my Hobbyboss A-6E build and I need a little advice. What’s the appropriate way to paint the interior of the exhausts? Black or some kind of burnt metallics? Or something else? I am using the hypersonic exhausts instead of the kit parts. thanks for the help! Mike
ExchefAndy
Just had a look at mine, mat black with some grey or white pastel streaks...artistic licence? That was just a guess, and I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon! Andy
A-10 LOADER
I used Model Master enamel "Jet Exhaust" on mine. You can dirty up the insides if you'd like but, you're not really gonna see to much. Steve
BillS
Actually, military jet exhaust ducting is more of a grayish tan metallic color, especially non-after burning engines. The Navy used JP-5 which has a higher flash point the JP-4/8. I think it was compatible with ships boilers. You might search some walk around galleries
BillS
I found this. You can get an idea of the color toward the exit where light is hitting it. You can clearly see the T-wheel is a tannish color as well
