JohnEB
When I was in the Air Force, I saw an display model of a C-5 in 1/48th. It had clear sides so you could look at the cargo area. It had various items inside, including an assembled Aurora Chinook. It was produced when the C-5 was new, so it was old at the time. It looked like something built for a trade show). Yes, it was very large.  Likewise, a 1/72 C-5 would be neat because of the stuff you could display in or with it.  A large airliner would let you have fun with paint, but the only thing you could put in it would be tiny (ill dressed, drunk?) people on vacation/holiday. 🙂
Dutch
In the Diorama Thread, Philippe Chauvan built a 1/48 NATO airbase, complete with Tab V shelters, maintenance hangars, people, vehicles... I wonder how much area would be required for a semi modern 1/72 international airport?
MoFo
The local (mid-size) international airport here would scale out to about 170 x 180 feet (or 30600 sqft). Something larger, like O'Hare, would be 260 x 220 feet (or 57200 sqft) Your local international airport may vary.
Vidar_710
I have the Titan 777-300 and the 757 kits. I can't wait to build them. I'll NEVER build a BUS, but I hope someone on here builds one with a thread! Â Tracy

I've thought about getting the 777 as well. I too will likely pass on the A380, although the thought of building one is intriguing. I will definitely be picking up the C-5 when it becomes available! Where I'd put it is anyone's guess 🤣 Fred.
