Hoping to find these pods in 1/72 to mount on a Mirage F.1.  Seems like someone said they could be found in one of the Jaguar kits, but I can't seem to find the discussion nor any images of Jaguar kits with those pods.  I *think* they're called LRF1's (?).

Thank you!  But not the same, the -1 seems to be bulkier than the -4.

Again, maybe my imagination, but I could've sworn someone said they were in a Jaguar kit or something like that....

@Andrew -- This link to Wikipedia may assist you in your search: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SNEB
The SNEB rocket (Societe Nouvelle des Etablissements Edgar Brandt French: New Society of Edgar Brandt Establishments) is an unguided air-to-surface 68 mm (2.7 in) rocket projectile manufactured by the French company TDA Armements, designed for launch by attack aircraft and helicopters. It is also known as the SNEB rocket pod, and sometimes as the Matra rocket, due to it commonly being carried in pod-like launchers built by Matra.
Ok, good info, so now I'm finding 1/72 SNEB pods that are either type 23 or type 155, but neither is what is shown on my above pics....

The research hole deepens once again.

From what I was reading in the link to the Wikipedia page the pod can have a frangible fairing on the nose (that the rockets shoot through) or a series of openings (one for each rocket).  Adding to that is that there is one version that is disposable and the other version that is retained for re-use.  Then there is the size of the rocket projectiles to add to the problem.  Not sure if Libya was using the 68mm SNEB or one of the smaller diameter rockets since both types share a common container.

Aha, wonder if these Reskit ones correct for RAF Phantoms

If you mean the link in the 2nd post, then no they aren't. Don't think I've ever seen any UK a/c using the type with the cut out in the rear of the pod.

I think these are the type you need............(not necessarily in that scale it was just for ex. They do do 72nd & 48th as well)

Close, but not quite.  The LFR1 is much bulkier, and has a raised area where it fits to the pylon.

Here it is in 1/48:

I was responding to the post re Matra pods for RAF Phantoms, not the larger LRF-1 type seen on some French a/c.

 • 11 months later...

Well, after all this time, I finally gave up looking for LRF1's and made my own.  Structure included thick plastic tube, large drinking straw sections (made it just bit closer to the real dimension), AIM-54 nosecones and rocket pod bits (for the rear interior).  Did my limited best to approximate markings with white decal striping and white F-4 data.
