This is the first aircraft of a twin F-15C “Shark Mouth” build! Kit is a GWH Eagle.  Has a Quickboost ejection seat, KA nozzles, Eduard RBF flags, Brassin AIM-120’s, Brassin AIM-9X and an ACMI pod from a Tamiya F-16 kit.  Phase Hanger AOA and Pitot covers, LP Models boarding ladder and Reskit wheels. Gun vent covers and the Secondary Heat Exchanger cover are my design.  I used Quinta Studios Decals for the cockpit and the IP coming.  Decals are from Speed Hunters excellent Guardian Eagles sheet. Intake and exhaust covers and the AN/ALR-56 RWR are my design and poured from resin! Decals for the intake and exhaust covers were my design and printed by me. Thanks for looking!

Brad

Wow is right! I love the detailing...well executed! The red covers do add a lot of realism, not to mention color.

Thanks Rich

What a great Eagle! Impressed by the clean finish and excellent appearance!

I think I saw this bird during a walk around on Leeuwarden Airbase back in 2017, during Frisian Flag exercise where they participated.

Nothing to add, but awesome!

I've wanted to do a 1/48 F-15 for ages... this ☝️ seals the deal

Andy

Thanks Andy!  Give it a go!  The GWH kit builds very well FYI

Great looking Eagle! I love the extra detail. Did you see that I got to go and see the EX? Decals are on the way from Caracal!

Aaron

Hey Aaron,

I did see you got to go see the EX!  I’m really bummed that Klamath Falls isn’t going to get them!  I will be waiting for the decals and conversion set from Caracal!  I think the EX looks better without the CFT’s

Ha ha. I have to disagree with you. At the heart, I still see it as an E, so it looks naked to me without the CFTs! But regardless, it's a cool-looking plane. Sorry you don't get to see more of it with Klamath not getting them.

Wow... impressive indeed, worthy of any shelf 🙂  Was this a personal project or did you build this for someone else on consignment or maybe even for the pilot himself?

Hi Greg,

This was a twin build!  Both F-15 units in Oregon painted a jet with a Shark Mouth!  I was more familiar with the jet from Kingsley so that’s the one that I finished first.  The jet from PDX is almost done and I’ll be posting images of that jet soon.  Both of these models will reside in my trophy case!  As I’ve built models for both bases in the past!

That's a great looking Eagle! A lot of attention to detail there...great job!

I think that Eagle came from Kadena...I spent 4 years there in the Special

Operations Wing there and saw the F-15's fly every day.

Cheers...Ron

Thanks Ron,

I know 151 spent some time at Mountain Home, but wasn’t aware that it also was a Kadena jet!  Always good to know the history of a jet!  Thank you for your service!
