My google search didn’t turn up much in the way of results. Have a 1/72 BPK P-8A on the bench now, with Aussie decals going on it. Curious if this pod could get added on. There isn't much out there about this pod *period* right now. Kinda hush-hush. As far as I am aware, it is US-only at this time. Aaron

Aaron For whatever reason, I can't bring up the BPK FB page at the moment, but I seem to recall that their kit with the pod was going to have Norwegian decals in the kit. Now whether that is to provide a "straight" P-8A option for the kit, or the Norwegians are actually going to get the pod, I don't know. Maybe BPK is just taking a best guess? Fred . strikeeagle801
Best guess I'd say, and probably only meant to be used with the US option. Here's a Norwegian bird for you. Kind of hard to take it seriously with a stick-figure on the tail though... Aaron

Aaron That stick figure looks like the logo from the TV show "The Saint" starring Roger Moore. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055701/
strikeeagle801
Here's an Aussie P-8 too. They've got an albatross on their tail. Aaron Edited October 9, 2024 by strikeeagle801

Dutch
@Da SWO, Correct! RoNorAF also featured "The Saint" on their P-3C/N Orions. @strikeeagle801, Uh, that's an albatross on the RAAF Poseidon. One of the longest ranging birds.

Aaron RNAF won't be getting the pod but RNAF birds have been modified with some systems that add a pretty busy "antenna farm" on the aft underside. Not shown here. Aaron Tell that to 16 Sqn (The Saints) 🙂 The Saint logo is iconic - it represents the suave, debonair Gentleman, with a lethal edge (and Leslie Charteris' character, Simon Templar, pre-dates James Bond by decades). AWACS-RESIN
Hi all. I'll start posting the assembly process in the In-Progress Pics category soon. However, I'll limit myself to essential steps that are worth mentioning if I deviate from the instructions or my own construction style. A link here will tell you the start. wxltcol
Dutch, PHR does have a 1/144 AESA pod and strakes listed for $14.95.
Dutch
Thanks! Will look it up.
Dutch
All items (including AESA pod) are on sale at PHR through the end of March. It's a little confusing as PHR initially listed the 707 nose they acquired from Two Mikes Resin as 144001, however it is no longer available. Edited March 22 by Dutch
wxltcol
Thanks for clearing that up, Dutch!! too bad the 707 nose is gone.
