P-38J "Hills Angels"

Wanna build P-38J in Hill's Angels colors.  The Eduard decals would have you paint the leading edges of the wings aluminum color.  Does anyone know if this is accurate?  The  Cutting Edge sheet does not show this.  

 

 

I did find this picture would seem to support the fact as it appears the leading edge is "shiny"

I would agree, it does appear shiny. The shiny part also seems to have a distinct edge on the outer fairing that suggests a color change at that point.

Would of been addition of the wing leading edge full tanks. These were field installed on early P-38J's that came off the line before it was standard.
