F-16
I need a cheap airbrush to shoot Badger primer with. I have two Iwata brushes, but don't want to use them for primer. So I need another airbrush for ONLY badger acrylic primer. This is what I'm looking for... Cheap (Under $50). Gravity feed. Has a .5 needle/nozzle. Performs similar to an Iwata HP-CS. Obviously, easy to clean. Will be used ONLY for Badger acrylic primer (Stynylrez). Did I mention cheap? (Under $50). Please provide a Ebay/Amazon link with your recommendations so I can see what the brushes are like. Thank you for any and all help. Scott CNJC-IPMS

F-16
Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions. I appreciate all your efforts! I spent a few hours yesterday looking into lot's of cheap airbrushes on Ebay and Amazon. I am looking into the Gaahleri Ghad-39 airbrush. This seems to be a close clone/copy of a Iwata HP-C. I think it might be what I am looking for spraying Badger (FAST drying) primer. Scott CNJC-IPMS Scott, A bit late, but I recommend looking at Badger Patriot. You can pick them up really cheap on Facebook Marketplace or Ebay for about $40-50. It comes standard with a .5mm needle nozzle set up. I use mine for airbrushing Badger primer for large scale models. But I think there something you're missing....you can use any needle size for badger primer. The thing is you need to thin it properly first. Sometimes you need to use a small needle nozzle because the area or part might be small and you need a fine touch. I use my thinner mixture (see video below). It helps the primer flow better, leaves a nice smooth finish, and after 50 mins or so you can sand the primer. In my videos on my channel, you can see how I use .2mm needle nozzle for priming on my 1/72 models. One thing is, to clean the airbrush after spraying primer. Once it dries it is rubbery and a bit of a pain to clean out. Hope this helps. https://youtu.be/UdlrnivXAI4?si=vEtyv6fTqfKMWmrx

Peacemaker
I have 2 iwatas: HP-CP and HP-BP and 2 ebay airbrushes which are about 1/5th of the price of the iwatas. I use one for .5 and the other for metallics (so i dont get metallic particles in the next colour.) I use the ebay ones easily 90% of the time and very rarely use the Iwatas anymore. They were about $40 AUD and spray just as good as the Iwatas. https://www.ebay.com/itm/272664593744?_skw=airbrush+kit&epid=1511934638&itmmeta=01JBRF0HVP1E73CHJABVXZF7EM&hash=item3f7c138550:g:6SwAAOSwx9Nj2WCB&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA0HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKlxPNovk2xdId8UMC5TKyKD9F6Q5WBNuFE%2BYN8cHT4kSJtNL2sHRg%2FrlMFDBlCjAGXB9v%2BGAvqKWywsbsSecB7xPHniTEUCD%2BE4hRU6ucPj%2FUjFA%2Fb34Dj61dT25LeSqteHus8XIkQO6wWTtqgnllMT01Wc0GPG7zM1ShqDM2pxehzhNXd8uo3uUsLePp3gaMUXuIrRMw%2BQ9Bk8GiPe%2BFiSXbo7bmdWPnPT8rYwxg09f4YJOfrIHe7NFA2CaDwnDnA%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_adgo_eZA
