Lockheed MC-130H Combat Talon II, scale 1/72

Shown is an MC-130H Combat Talon II 89-0283 from the 15th Special Operations Squadron, 1st Special Operations Wing, Hurlburt Field around 2009. The model was created from the Zvezda C-130H kit with the conversion kit from Flightpath.

Congrats Jost, awesome build !! All the add-ons look fantastic. I wish I would have added chaff/flare buckets to my AC-J.

Any chance to get a look inside the refueling-pods from behind? And how did you do the chaff/flare-launchers on the sponsons? Or did I just miss that step in your in-progress thread?

There is nothing inside of the pods from behind. You can see that on a pic in the  In-Progress of the two-part, nacked pod. Also you can see there the Chaff. I just simply added some square plastic parts. After painting I added simple, selfmade decals.

That's a good looking T2...I have a couple hundred hours in them here at Kirtland when I was a Lockheed

employee. I never like those MCARS pods...had hose trouble and the VDD would get a mind of it's own. That

head on shot makes me want to "clear number 3" for engine start.
